Gil in Final Fantasy XIV
Gil is the main currency used in Eorzea for purchasing equipment, glamour items that increase level progression and minions.
The game also provides a robust travel network with teleportation zones in every main zone - however each teleportation requires considerable resources (gil).
FFxiv Gil is earned through battles (both storyline and random encounter), FATEs, dungeons and guildhests; it can also be obtained by selling equipment and Materia.
Buying Gil
Players require gil to purchase most items in-game. These include weapons, gear, furniture, houses and mounts - the amount needed increases as you level up.
Players should understand that purchasing gil can cause major disruptions for the community as a whole. By injecting currency purchased outside the game into its economy, buying can cause inflation to spread out of control and damage market stability, devaluing legitimate players who earn their gil through in-game means.
There are various methods for players to accumulate gil without breaking any rules in this game, such as completing daily Duty Roulettes and working on the Challenge Log. Also, enemies drop large quantities of gil which sell for considerable money on the Market Board, plus materials which sell well on that board as well. Furthermore, the game boasts numerous achievements worth an immense sum such as desynthesizing 10,000 items or crafting 10 high-level items per class that award you with money - making these activities highly lucrative!
Selling Gil
Players in Final Fantasy XIV can earn Gil through defeating enemies, selling equipment and Materia, buying rumors in the tavern, running errands, participating in duty roulettes and doing other tasks - the amount gained after battle depending on mission difficulty - or purchasing it at Gold Saucer Costa del Sol using Coin command to produce additional Gil or finding it in treasure chests; some enemies like Oretoise also drop component items which sell for a considerable sum; further increasing how much Gil they earn per battle; additionally Gilfinder ability increases how much Gil is obtained after battle by increasing how much Gil is earned after battle - increasing gil gained after battle by increasing how much Gil is obtained per battle!
An abundance of FFxiv Gil is invaluable in this game, enabling players to move around freely and seamlessly between servers without issue, purchase catchup gear for newly released content, stockpile consumables, and run high-level content without issue. But be wary: an impressive stash could quickly deflate in response to other server players or patches being released - especially after being transferred between servers!
Buying Items
Gil is the primary currency in Final Fantasy XIV and players can make it by selling equipment they've acquired or doing quests, or through combat with monsters which may drop loot ranging from armor, weapons and equipment they can sell on for profit. Treasure chests may also contain gil that players can collect.
Purchase of higher-level gear and melded materia can require significant amounts of ffxiv free trial gil cap, making the monetary system extremely complex and requiring players to manage their reserves carefully in order to maximize DPS output.
To increase gil production, players can utilize leves in high-reward missions such as Fetch Quest and Kill Quest missions with leves. Furthermore, players can work towards increasing their earning potential with MSQ challenge log and Duty Roulette; selling materials collected to Market Board through retainers will provide even more gil. They may also complete dungeons/raids/other content to make the most out of their gil.
Selling Items
Accumulating large amounts of FFxiv Gil is invaluable, as it can be used to buy catch up equipment or gear, stockpile raiding supplies and provide yourself with some luxury items. Furthermore, having ample gil can make the game much simpler to play!
Contrary to some MMOs, Final Fantasy XIV features more small Gil sinks built into core gameplay than Gold sinks (such as repairs and flights). Quests reward Gil while guildleves offer them, dungeons reward Gil and duty roulettes reward Gil as well as selling items at Market Board for Gil.
Humanoid enemies drop very low amounts of Gil, making them unsuitable for farming, while treasure chests often contain variable amounts. Players can also gain Gil by selling gear to NPCs or killing monsters, or by earning it through retainers; although this method of accruing Gil may take much longer.
